Production technology of large roll galvanized wire

Large roll galvanized wire is a metal product that is plated with a layer of zinc on the surface of the steel wire to increase its corrosion resistance and extend its service life. The production process of large-roll galvanized wire includes raw material preparation, pretreatment, galvanized, cold winding and packaging.
The first is the preparation of raw materials, the need to choose high-quality low carbon steel wire as the substrate, its main components are carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus and other elements. At the same time, it is also necessary to prepare the solution required for galvanizing, which is generally prepared from ammonium chloride, zinc chloride, zinc sulfate, etc.

Next is the pretreatment process, this step is mainly to remove impurities and rust on the surface of the steel wire to ensure the subsequent galvanizing effect. There are many kinds of pretreatment methods, the common ones are pickling, alkali washing and mechanical treatment. Pickling mainly uses acid solution to dissolve oxides and rust on metal surface; Alkaline washing is the use of alkaline solutions to remove acid residues from the pickling process. The common methods of mechanical treatment are shot blasting, sandblasting, etc., and the impurities and rust on the surface of the steel wire are polished off by the machine.
After the completion of pretreatment, enter the galvanizing process. Galvanizing is mainly to immerse the steel wire in the prepared galvanizing solution, so that it can chemically react with the zinc ions in the solution to form a protective layer of metal zinc. There are two methods of galvanizing: hot galvanizing and cold galvanizing. Hot dip galvanizing is to immerse the steel wire in a high temperature zinc solution, and react the zinc in the zinc solution with the steel wire surface through thermal conduction to form a galvanized layer. Cold galvanizing is to dip the steel wire into a low temperature zinc solution and form a zinc layer at room temperature.
After the completion of the galvanizing process, the cold winding process will be carried out. This step is mainly to cold roll the galvanized wire into the desired specifications of the drum through mechanical pressure to facilitate transportation and use. In the process of cold rolling, the pressure and speed need to be controlled to ensure the quality and shape of the drum. At the same time, it is also necessary to check whether the surface of the drum is damaged, oxidation, etc., if necessary, repair and treatment.
After that is the packaging process, the large rolled galvanized wire is packaged. Commonly used packaging methods are plastic packaging, woven bag packaging and so on. When packing, we need to pay attention to moisture-proof and anti-corrosion to ensure the quality of the product. At the same time, it is also necessary to check the quality of the large roll of galvanized wire packaging, such as checking the appearance quality, length and weight of the drum.
